Gamers can go on for hours playing GTA 5 Online with no interruptions until mod users gets inside the server. Rockstar is aware of players who take advantage of certain vulnerabilities in the game and cause total chaos in servers. However, the amount of modders exploiting the online server seems to be bigger than Rockstar’s tech team.
Since the release of GTA 5 on PC, several users have started to make tutorials and how-to videos of the glitch. But, it looks like the modders’ reign has finally come to an end.
According to Express, YouTube and Rockstar have teamed up to hunt down any videos that aid or help players in using mods or exploiting glitches on GTA 5 online. Moreover, YouTube is now banning accounts of users who will not stop uploading cheat-exposing videos.
Unfortunately the message didn’t seem to reach every GTA 5 gamers, including YouTube user GoldenGunGames, who owns one of the first accounts that received punishments. The YouTube channel received three strikes for uploading eight glitch-related videos in two weeks. It has been confirmed that those videos were removed from the channel.
The YouTube user took to Twitter to express his feeling to his followers about the suspension of his account. The tweet said: “I literally feel like quitting YouTube, honestly all this hard work and effort, I’m done. Just realized that I’m legit suspended from uploading, I’ll probably have to wait a good 7 days to upload an update video.”
The videos that were taken down explained viewers how to exploit GTA 5 online by using weapons in passive mode. The videos also revealed tricks like invisibility to certain body parts and ways to gain unlimited money.
Players have been banned before for causing total chaos using mods in the game. Developers believe that those who are supporting modes are using them to bully other gamers and affecting the spirit of fairness in the gaming community. What can you say about this move from Rockstar and YouTube?
