Babadook actress Essie Davis will be seen playing Cersei Lannister in the sixth season of “Game of Thrones.”
The Australian star who played Amelia in the horror film, “Babadook,” released in 2014 will be playing an interesting role in the renowned HBO series “Game of Thrones” season 6, according to Entertainment Weekly. The actress was also seen in the “Matrix” sequels, and the Australian version of the miniseries “Slap”.
In the new series, Davis will appear as a member of a traveling troupe in Braavos that would be staging a play called “The Bloody Hand.” In the play “The Bloody Hand” Davis will portray the character of Cersei Lannister. Davis will be seen wearing a blonde wig representing the queen in the drama, reported TV Line.

It is believed that new actors will be joining the crew as the drama series production in Northern Ireland and Spain continues. The new leaked list of actors includes Max von Sydow playing Three-Eyed Raven, Freddie Stroma playing Dickon Tarly and Pilou Asbæk as Euron Greyjoy. Ian McShane and Richard E. Grant are also reported to appear in the drama series that is expected to hit the television screens during next spring.
Fans are reported to be rejoicing with the crew in Northern Ireland and Spain. They are also seen taking pictures with the actors. Some of the photographs are also leaked in the Watchers on the wall fan site.
