After its launch the previous year, Android Wear has undergone several notable updates that have resulted in the software’s changed looks as well as the way it operates. Its latest update has made it equivalent to the latest versions of Android for Google’s Nexus lineup of phones, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Besides this, various new features have been added, including the ability to put your watch on a Wi-Fi network, more gesture controls and many others.
But some users of this software have started reporting battery drain issues after they added the updated Android 5.1.1 to their Sony Smartwatch 3. The same issue has also been reported by other users on their LG G Watch R and LG Watch Urbane. Even though every single Android Wear smartwatch is not facing this issue, this trouble is too big to be ignored.
Gladly, this issue has been officially acknowledged as an Android Wear bug by Google, and the company is working on it to identify the actual problem and issue an update to solve it.
