George Soros has deep ties with Smartmatic, a U.K.-based technology company controlling voting machines in 16 states. These states include important zones like Nevada, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Smartmatic’s website contains a flow chart that explains how the company contributed to elections in the U.S. from 2006-2015 by deploying 57,000 voting and counting machines and assisting 35 million voters.
George Soros, according to Biography, is a self-made billionaire and a philanthropist. Other than his vast philanthropic work, Soros reportedly supported changing the United States’ “war on drugs” to avoid the current extent of criminalization.
It was speculated that Smartmatic would be involved in rigging the elections due to its close ties with the billionaire. The Daily Caller reported that the chairman of Smartmatic is Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, who sits in the British House of Lords.
The publication reported that Lord Mark Malloch-Brown also serves on the board of George Soros’s Open Society Foundations. Malloch-Brown also worked with consulting firms with intimate ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Thus, speculations say that the billionaire businessman would rig the elections for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Other states alleged to be affected by the rigging include New Jersey, Oregon, California, Washington, District of Columbia, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri and Wisconsin.
Smartmatic was already involved in controversy. It conducted the online balloting for the Utah Republican caucus last March, and during that time, critics stated it was impossible to secure personal electronic devices used to register and vote.
However, Smartmatic did not respond when asked about the issue. The publication reported that a secretary who answered the phone in their Florida-based offices said the whole speculation was “BS.”
