On Wednesday, the official Twitter for Game of Thrones season 6 released a set of promo posters. But HBO, the premium cable and satellite TV network behind the show, is being careful not to unleash hints about whether who survived last season’s stabbing.
Jon Snow is included among the creepy Hall of Faces portraits; so is the lamented Oberyn Martell played by Pedro Pascal. It has been held as an opinion that Jon Snow is either alive or featured in Game of Thrones flashbacks, but Kit Harington’s presence on set might be for another reason. Maybe the character is really dead, but his face lives on to another person.
The Game of Thrones poster also features English actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, last spotted jumping from the battlements of Winterfell with Theon Greyjoy (played by Alfie Allen) in the season 5 finale.
As the fantasy drama TV series has overtaken the novels of George R. R. Martin, fans of the writer’s books are leveling with viewers only watching the series, and the latest GoT season 6 posters continue to tease each mystery.
HBO is unleashing a total of 16 posters, and people can take a glimpse of the rest by following the official Game of Thrones Twitter account. A number of posters have already been revealed online such as those of Jon Snow and Oberyn Martell.
The sixth season of the hotly-anticipated Game Of Thrones premieres on HBO at 9 p.m., April 24.
