“Game of Thrones” once again proves that it doesn’t care about your petty feelings as the series released new stills for episode 6 while the majority of viewers are still reeling from the loss of Hodor. The new stills show the events about to unfold in King’s Landin, Arya and her mission, and Daenerys riding with the Dothraki.
The Independent has revealed 6 new stills from ‘Blood of my Blood‘ with the majority of them showing events at the capital. From the promotional video released by HBO, this episode is where Cersei Lannister plans to overthrow the Faith Militant which has effectively run the city ever since she helped them to power.
The plan is to let the Tyrell army march into the city to stop Margaery Tyrell from undergoing her walk of atonement and have the Lannister army stand down essentially letting Faith fend for themselves against the well-armed Tyrell army. However, Cersei plans not only plans to dismantle the Faith with the act but also turn the people against the rival Tyrells.
The “Game of Thrones” photos also show a smiling Arya Stark, possibly watching another performance of her target, an actress. She has been given a second chance by Jaqen H’ghar to continue her training and has given her the mission of killing someone who she believes is a good person.
This time, however, Jaqen has denied her request to use a face in the killing. The only possible reasons are Jaqen doesn’t trust Arya with a face or wants her to use her own face and in the process discard it as it will no longer be used to blend into the people of Braavos as it is then considered the face of a murderer.
One of the photos shows Daenerys Targaryen and Daario Naharis conversing with the horde behind them. The image reveals nothing important in particular as the scene is already captured in the promotional video with Daario calling the “The Conqueror”.
More speculations about the details of the episode are circulating on the internet. One of them is the possible return of Benjen Stark, as himself or possibly reborn as Cold Hands. ‘Game of Thrones’ airs every Sunday on HBO 9 PM ET.
