Emilia Clarke admitted she needed to drink vodka first before doing nude scenes. With good lighting, she’s good to shoot!
In an interview with Mirror UK, the 29-year-old actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO series, revealed her secret preparation before the camera starts rolling in front of her naked body.
“All I needed was vodka and some flattering lighting and I was ready,” Emila Clarke dished.
The former “Terminator Genisys” star further narrated that she found the scene wherein she emerged naked while walking through an inferno “empowering.”
“It was just a wonderful, strong moment I wanted to own, a real empowering, girl-power wow scene,” the “Game of Thrones” actress shared. “I was so thrilled with it.”
While it was not a sexy scene, Emilia Clarke explained that “she’s not naked for no reason, it’s not gratuitous. She’s naked because she’s just destroyed her enemies in this almighty blaze after they underestimated her.”
“She played her trump card – how could I say no?” Clarke, who previously signed a no-nudity clause pointed out.
On Sunday, while talking to The Sun, she hinted about her willingness to do more nude scenes provided that they are more than necessary for the “Game of Thrones” season 6 scenes.
“If a nude scene forwards a story or is shot in a way that adds insight into characters, I’m perfectly fine with it,” she said, adding that “explicit scenes” are required sometimes in order to “make sense” of a character or story.
In the meantime, Unreality TV discussed in its “Game of Thrones” season 6 episode 7 spoilers that Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) would meet a “very unexpected person” in his homeland.
As such, the knight of the Kingsguard is expected to play a huge role during the episode called “The Broken Man.”
Who could be that unexpected person? Catch “Game of Thrones” season 6 episode 7 on June at 9 p.m. on HBO.
