Samsung’s next flagship is said to be the Galaxy Note 6. Note 5 was released last year along with S6 Edge+. Unfortunately, none of these two devices did well. So, this year after Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, Samsung may release another Note with advanced features. This device may be a mixture of Note 5 and the latest S7 phones. Get more details about Galaxy Note 6 release date, features and more here:
Samsung’s Galaxy Note 6 release date is rumored to be somewhere in August this year. As you know, currently only the latest phones from the company support virtual reality, and now, this upcoming flagship may be another device that supports Gear VR. Any smartphone, no matter which brand it belongs to, cannot be judged without going through the specs list.
According to Android Central, Galaxy Note 6 will sport a 5.8-inch screen and will come with 4K Super AMOLED display. The report also suggests that this phone from Samsung will pack a “battery substantially larger than the 3,000mAh cell of the Note 5.”
Speaking of the chipset, it is not clear whether Samsung will use only Snapdragon 820 or like Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge opt for a combination of Exynos and Snapdragon chips. Experts say that the performance of S7 series varies depending on the chips used. While Snapdragon 820 phones are the best, Exynos phones, though good, are not excellent. The chances are that based on these reviews, Samsung may completely drop Exynos chips and choose Qualcomm for the upcoming high-end devices.
Let us now move on to the Galaxy Note 6 features. The phone, just like Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, will be water-resistant. It will also support wireless charging and microSD card. This upcoming smartphone from Samsung may be the first device to don a USB Type-C port. Though nothing has been confirmed by the company yet, these rumors cannot be totally denied as most of the S7 and S7 Edge rumors also turned out to be true.
