It seems there is now a hint of optimism with regards to Michael Schumacher. The Formula 1 legend’s manager has issued a statement, saying that hopefully, he will “one day be back with us.”
These were the words of Sabine Kehm, manager to Michael Schumacher as well as his son, Mick. She was speaking at the opening of a special exhibition Marburg, Germany that is solely dedicated to the seven-time Formula 1 champion. Regarding Schumacher’s current condition, Kehm said, “We must accept it and hope with everything we have that with continued support and patience he will one day be back with us.”
The Michael Schumacher Exhibition is a project of Germany company Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) who is also a long-time sponsor of the Formula 1 legend. It features Schumacher’s original F1 race cars as well as a number of his trophies. Throughout his career, Schumacher secured more victories and pole positions than any driver in Formula 1 history.
Aside from trophies and race cars, the exhibit also features a number of Schumacher’s photos, helmets, caps and even driving seats. “Each section is dedicated to a different theme, whether it be Michael as a team player, a developer and motivator, as a World Champion, or as an extreme athlete – the exhibition makes clear that an F1 driver must be a master of multi-tasking,” said DVAG.
According to a report from Formula Spy, the racing legend’s wife Corinna as well as children Mick and Gina were also present at the opening of the exhibit.
Meanwhile, The Sun says that Kehm believes that Schumacher would have wanted to attend the said exhibit himself. “Racing was his life and no one would have liked to have been here more than him.” Admission to the Michael Schumacher exhibition is free.
