Former Star Wars Child Actor Arrested After 25-Mile Car Chase

Jake Lloyd, the actor who played Anakin Skywalker junior in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” back in 1999, was arrested after a car chase in South Carolina on Wednesday.

Jake Lloyd was arrested for reckless driving, and as TMZ reports, the actor resisted the pursuit of the Sheriff’s Deputies. The chase started in Charleston, South Carolina and ended when Jake plowed into some trees.

Jake lost control of his car, ran off the road and went through a fence before crashing onto a bush. The 26-year-old was arrested just after that. It was reported that the chase lasted for 25 miles and the car was being driven at 100 miles per hour.

The child star may face consequences due to his reckless driving. Jake was also seen in “Jingle All the Way” as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son in 1996. He also had role in the medical soap “ER.” His last onscreen role was in 2005’s “Madison.”
