Forget Coffee, Have A Caffeinated Bagel Instead

If you like having coffee with your bagels, then this new bagel flavor is absolutely for you. This time, no need to get your cup of Joe because the bagel itself is caffeinated!

Einstein Bros Bagel knows all about the great pairing that bagel and coffee can be. Nonetheless, they decided to take things further. That’s how they ended up making what they say is the first caffeinated bagel in the world.

The bagel makers call their creation the Espresso Buzz Bagel. “Every bite of our Espresso Buzz Bagel gives you a tasty dose of bold flavor, caffeine and one-of-a-kind benefits,” Einstein Bros Bagel said on their website.

Just in case you’re wondering, they’re serious about creating a bagel that can give you a caffeine jolt. In fact, one piece of the Espresso Buzz Bagel contains as many as 32 milligrams of caffeine. That around a third of the caffeine that you would find in your average 8-ounce coffee cup.

The inspiration for this new espresso bagel is said to be the Millenials. This younger customers have shown a growing interest in craft coffee and Einstein Bros Bagel is now hoping this flavor would be a “unique and innovative” food that would appeal to them. ” We have watched the coffee category expand and adapt as Millennials converted to coffee drinkers, attracted by the smoother flavor and artisanal characteristics and third- and fourth-wave coffee, Einstein Bros Bagel senior vice president Kerry Coyne told Fox News. ” We knew our culinary team could deliver that same premium, hand-crafted sensory experience with the beloved category hero of espresso in our best-in-class, fresh-baked bagel.”

The caffeine in Einstein’s Espresso Buzz Bagel comes from two things. First, there is the espresso incorporated into the bagel’s dough recipe. Then, there’s also the use of coffee-cherry flour. Meanwhile, this bagel also contains 13 grams of protein that’s derived from cocoa.

The new caffeinated bagel is quite healthy.

In case you’re wondering, the Espresso Buzz Bagel is pretty healthy. That’s because it only has 2.5 grams of fat and three grams of sugar. That means you can enjoy it without feeling guilty.

To enjoy the Espresso Buzz Bagel, you can choose to have it with cream cheese just like other bagels. On the other hand, Einstein Bros Bagel also has the Espresso Buzz Bagel & Bacon. It’s got brown sugar thick-cut bacon, cage-free eggs, cheddar and butter on an Espresso Buzz Bagel. “All it takes is one bite to energize your morning,” the bagel store remarked.
