If you are a parent, then you know that nothing makes a baby fall asleep faster than being rocked by a moving car. There is something about a car ride that stops the fussing, easily lulling them to sleep. That’s exactly why Ford decided to develop a crib that makes a baby feel like they’re always taking a car ride.
The new Ford Max Motor Dreams may resemble your typical cot. However, it is does something that other cribs simply can’t do. It can move and sound like a car ride with just a few taps of the smartphone.
With the Max Motor Dreams, parents no longer need to rush out the door for a night drive just to get their baby to fall asleep. That’s because a team at Ford worked hard to make sure the crib would feel and sound just like a car ride.
Parents no longer need to go out for a drive to get their baby to sleep.
“After many years of talking to mums and dads, we know that parents of newborns are often desperate for just one good night’s sleep. But while a quick drive in the family car can work wonders in getting baby off to sleep, the poor old parents still have to be awake and alert at the wheel,” Max Motor Dreams designer Alejandro López Bravo said. Bravo is from the Spanish creative studio Espada y Santa Cruz, Ford’s partner in coming up with a unique baby’s crib.
Studies show that parents have been losing a lot of sleep when they try to get their baby down at the end of the day. In fact, both mothers and fathers typically only sleep five hours each night. This means they are losing as much as 44 days of sleep during the first year of their child’s lives alone. And with the Max Motor Dreams, babies will be able to get a soothing “car ride” without having to leave the house at all.
At the same time, the Max Motor Dreams crib does more than move like a car. In fact, it can readily sound like a car, thanks to a speaker built into the crib. Parents can also adjust the light settings on the crib to make it feel like an actual car ride. With the Ford Motor Max Dreams, hopefully, everyone will finally be able to get more sleep.
