Is Henry Allen’s death going to affect Barry in more ways than one? Will he get so hell-bent on revenge that he forgets about everyone else, especially Iris?
‘The Flash’ Season 2 Finale Plot
The upcoming finale of “The Flash” will see emotions run high as Barry encounters Zoom in a deadly race to prove who is the “fastest man alive.” After Zoom killed his father in front of his eyes, it is only natural that viewers will get to see a revengeful Flash set out to destroy Zoom. But will there be other consequences?
The promos of The Flash season 2 finale shows a teary-eyed Barry promising to avenge his father’s death as he sat in front of a black coffin. So will the finale be a roller coaster ride for fans as well?
In an interview with TV Line, Jesse L. Martin, who plays Joe, Barry’s foster father on the show, said: “Well… I can say that it’s rough. Really, really rough. There’s going to be a lot of tears… a LOT of tears.”
So we know for sure that it’s going to be emotional for everyone involved, including the viewers.
‘The Flash’ Season 2 Finale
Despite the ups and downs, what with Barry holding himself responsible for Ronnie’s death at the start of Season 2, watching Earth 2 Joe getting killed, having to give up his powers to Zoom, and almost getting killed trying to get his speed back, he had one person always supporting him – Iris.
Even though the Barry-Iris relationship kind of faded into the background after Iris fell in love with Eddie in the first season then spent most of season 2 mourning his death, it was revived as the current season drew to an end. Iris even helped Barry pull himself out of the speed force, where he was stuck after trying to get his powers back.
But happy endings seem to evade Barry, proof of which is, of course, his father getting killed in the previous episode. So will Henry Allen’s death also have an adverse effect on Barry and Iris’ relationship?
Talking to TV Line, Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen a.k.a The Flash, mentioned, “Probably… I don’t know. Barry makes a decision at the end of this season that obviously he’ll be vulnerable going into season 3, but, I think because of some stuff that goes down, the timeline will also be vulnerable going into season 3. I think regardless of what happened, this will affect every other relationship in Barry’s life.”
What is the big, life-altering decision that Barry makes? Will he break up with Iris? Catch The Flash season 2 finale on Tuesday, May 24 on CW to find out.
