The new trailer of “Finding Dory” has recently dropped, teasing viewers how the main character is in search of her mother.
“I miss her. Do you know what that feels like?” the blue tang fish protagonist can be heard saying about her mother. Dory is voiced by host Ellen DeGeneres.
The trailer, which was titled as “Happy Mother’s Day from Finding Dory!” also showed how Dory, together with her friend Nemo (voice by Hayden Rolence) and his father Marlin (voice by Albert Brookd), launched a mission to find her parents. Dory’s parents will be voiced by Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy.
“We have so much to catch up on — not that I remember any of it or anything that we did together,” she then says.
However, Cinema Blend speculates that Dory will realize that she no longer had to find her family in order to be whole again.
In one scene for the “Finding Dory” new trailer, Nemo can be seen hugging his friend Dory, as if saying that she has him and Marlin as his family already after all.
“She didn’t need to go on an adventure to find her family, because Marlin and Nemo were her family all along,” the report noted.
In the original story, it can be recalled that Dory has lost her memory, which made her forget her family members and where they have been.
“Finding Dory,” directed by Andrew Stanton and produced by Lindsey Collins, is set to hit the giant screens on June 17th.
