Fifty Shades of Grey stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan may have worked out really well on-screen, but their off-screen chemistry during the shooting of the film was not quite the same.
However, things have changed over time and the duo now is now pretty much comfortable with each other on the sets of the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker.
The Hollywood Life reported that according to a source close to the stars, during the filming of Fifty Shades of Grey, Dakota was facing relationship issues, which affected her connection with Jamie on the sets to some extent.
“During the first film they really didn’t work well with each other and to add to the fact, she [Dakota] was having relationship issues at the time and it was just a weird experience to get used to it all with the stress of the nudity and everything; It just really got to both of them,” the source said. “On the set now they are totally cool with each other and are having a great time, and really want to make the film awesome!”
The source added that Dakota is fun-loving yet professional, and she is having an enjoyable time on the sets now. “Dakota is very fun loving and goofy on set and obviously still professional, but keeps things very relaxed and Jamie is a little more serious at all times.”
Dakota Johnson and Jamie decided to bury the differences and carry on with their friendship. “They realized it wasn’t the end of the world and liked each other outside of work and maintained that friendship moving forward,” the source revealed.
Fifty Shades Darker was being filmed in Nice, France, where 84 people have been killed when a truck rammed into the crowd celebrating Bastille Day. However, producer Dana Brunetti confirmed on social media that the cast and crew members of the film are safe and accounted for, the Mirror reported.
