Fifth Harmony’s new single makes a record entry in the Billboard Hot 100. The new song, “Work From Home” was first performed just after Oscars 2016 in February. But the song had since toppled other hits on Billboard Hot 100 this week.
“Work From Home” debuted at number 12 and became the second highest from the top 20 hits that made it to the Billboard Hot 100 according to Fuse TV. The song had even came so close to Kelly Clarkson’s “Piece by Piece” that debuted at No. 8.
“Worth it” from the debut album Reflection, was their biggest hit last year. It also landed at No. 12 on the Hot 100 during its own debut.
Apart from “Work from Home” and “Worth it,” the other Fifth Harmony songs that made it to Billboard top 100 list were “Miss Movin’ On” and “Bo$$.” As reported by Headline Planet, the latter song picked up to no 43 while “Miss Movin On” was at no 76. “Sledgehammer” was on no 40 at its peak.
“Work From Home” which features Dolla $ing is from Fifth Harmony’s latest album, the “7/27.” It will be released in May of 2016. Dolla $ing is super excited about the song just like his daughter. “My daughter loves them and she put me on to their first album… It’s cool to do a song that might be played in my daughter’s playlist,” he said happily.
The Fifth Harmony new single talks about a man who wants his girlfriend to work from home. He does not want to let her go to work because he cannot get enough of her. It can be described as a ‘sultry song’ because it talks about a couple who wants to make love. The harmony is good enough and the voices of the girls synchronize perfectly with the rhythm.
“Work from Home” from Fifth Harmony is expected to stay long at the top of the chart with the amount of appreciation it is generating. The massive debut on Billboard Top 100 is surely an indication. Check out the full song right here.
