EA Sports has officially announced the release date of the free demo version of FIFA 17. The demo is expected to be available on most gaming platforms.
In a recent interview with Game Reactor, FIFA 17 lead producer Garreth Reeder revealed that the free demo version will go live on Tuesday, September 13. Reeder did not divulge further details, but a similar demo was unveiled at Gamescom 2016.
That demo featured teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique Lyonnais, Jeventus, FC Bayern Monaco and Seattle Sounders. Needless to say, the full version of the game will include more than that.
Just this week, EA Sports outed the list of Brazilian clubs that will be playable in FIFA 17. They are as follows:
- Ponte Preta
- Santa Cruz
- São Paulo
- Vasco da Gama
“This is the largest number of Brazilian teams in FIFA since the launch of the latest generation of consoles,” claimed EA Brazil publisher Jonathan Harris. “We’re very excited to have some of them return to Career Mode.”
FIFA 17 will also include all 18 teams from the J1 League, a first for the FIFA series. Additionally, the game will boast of a new single-player story mode called The Journey. In it, players take on the role of Alex Hunter, an aspiring footballer superstar. Hunter can play any position, including goalkeeper. Players can select which team would have his draft rights at the start of the season.
Fans in North America can purchase FIFA 17 starting September 27. The game will have a worldwide release on September 29. As for the free demo version, PS4 users can download it on September 13 via the PlayStation Store. Gamers on Xbox One can search and download the software content on Microsoft Store.
