It is unfortunately true that Moto X Pure Edition is encountering activation issues on Big Red Network, but there is nothing to worry about as both companies are working towards sorting the issue and promises to resolve it as soon as possible.
If you have purchased Moto X Pure Edition for Verizon, then you are up for disappointment. Customers who have purchased this flagship phone of Motorola and tried to activate the device on Big Red complained that the carrier is unable to find the IMEI, the hardware identifier that is required to make things work.
The device is working perfectly on other networks viz., AT&T and T-Mobile. Maybe because these are GSM-based carriers. In a statement given to Droid-Life about the issue, a spokesperson said, “Moto X Pure Edition is certified and supported for activation on Verizon’s network. We are working with Motorola to resolve the activation issue by Friday Sept. 18.” Moto X Pure Edition buyers can now relax as it is confirmed that the issue is temporary and is being looked into.
Even though companies claim that their services are all set to support new devices, problems do arise when the products hit the market and services have to go through real testing. After the companies sort out these issues, there will be no trouble.
