What did you expect the Internet to be like after the “Apple Event”? Should it be all about iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S plus and other Apple products? No. Samsung S6 edge plus is stealing the limelight. Read on to know how.
Samsung and Apple’s war is not even news anymore. Wherever there is Apple, there has to be Samsung. September 9 was a date Apple fans and the tech industry went crazy over the “Apple Event.” But Samsung once again found a way to grab eyeballs. While everyone was looking for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on Google, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ flashed on the screens.
What did Samsung do?
If you Google for the terms “iPhone 6S launch,” you will find Samsung ads showing up even before Google displays the news results related to Apple.
We all know how Google displays results related to the keywords used in the search bar. iPhone “6S” being the current top trend, Samsung flipped its own smartphone “S6″edge+ into “6S” and came up with the ad. The smartest thing the brand did was use 6S at the beginning, making it obvious for Google that the ad is about 6S and not S6.

Samsung trended on Twitter instead of iPhone 6S
It was very obvious that Twitter will be all about the Apple Event, that people will be tweeting about the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, Apple Pencil or Apple TV. Apple gave Twitter enough reasons to speak about the brand and its September 9 event. Samsung went one step ahead and launched Galaxy Note 5 in India on the same day. Not only did the company launch its phone in India, it also promoted #GalaxyNote5 on Twitter. Results? iPhone 6S is nowhere on the list of trends in the United States, and it found itself down at the bottom of the trends list in Australia.
All we can say about this whole Samsung vs. Apple war is: well done, Samsung!
