Well, Harry Kane didn’t turn up for Tottenham Hotspur’s friendly tie against AC Milan on Wednesday. The Spurs defeated the Italian giants without Kane.
And rumors grew louder as the commentator aired that the reason behind Kane’s absence is that the hitman has been keenly targeted by the Red Devils.
However, the Manchester United management ridiculed the rumor of their “massive bid” for Kane as “nonsense.”
What Sparked The Rumor?
Harry Kane scored 31 goals to help Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side finish fifth in the Premier League, sparking rumors that offers are ripe for Kane’s departure from the White Hart Lane.
A £40 million bid was reported from United’s side, which was considered to be in the polar situation to secure the services of the England International.
Reports also claimed that the Reds want to splash the money they have recouped on Angel Di Maria on the England hotshot.
But Kane Happy At Spurs
The 22-year-old striker clarified his stance in a recent statement saying, “I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs.
“I have seen there is interest but that’s all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested.”
