Election 2016: Donald Trump Hiding Voter Fraud?

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was about to conduct a vote recount in Michigan. However, the process is currently on hold.

Trump’s attorney’s filed the objection with the Michigan Bureau of Elections. This move is guaranteed to pause the recount until the complaint was resolved.

According to Politico, the attorneys argued that Stein did not provide adequate proof to doubt the election results.

“All available evidence suggests that the 2016 general election was not tainted by fraud or mistake,” the complaint objected.

Meanwhile, recount in Ingham and Oakland counties have been put on hold. The Board of State Canvassers is expected to rule on the objection. Accordingly, the board has five days to resolve the complaint. If the board adopts the objection, the recount would stop. If the board fails to adopt it, the recount would continue.

Furthermore, Stein considered Trump’s move on the issue as “outrageous.”

“The Michigan Board of State Canvassers and Director of Elections has been a model of professionalism in moving this recount forward in an efficient, transparent manner,” Stein said.

Stein must get $973,250 to pay for the recount. The recount is being backed by the Hillary Clinton campaign.

NY Post stated that Trump won Michigan by a 10,704-vote margin out of 4.8 million cast. In contrast, Stein got 51,463 ballots, which was 1.1 percent of the vote.

Election 2016: Donald Trump’s Staffer Convicted In Election Fraud?

Brandon Hall, a Michigan staffer for Trump, was convicted on ten counts of election fraud. Hall fabricated signatures on petition forms in support of 2012 judicial candidate Chris Houtaling in 2012. The entire conviction could bring him a 5-year prison sentence.

According to Dead State, Trump’s Michigan campaign had no difficulty employing a staff member facing election fraud charges.

“The fact that the Trump campaign and the Michigan Republican Party embraced Brandon Hall is just one more reason to recount and audit the vote in Michigan,” said Progress Michigan‘s Lonnie Scott.

Many other news outlets reported about the conviction. However, they did not make any clear connection between Hall and Trump. Columnist Susan J. Demas posted tweets about Hall’s conviction. She mentioned that Hall was a key figure in Trump’s Michigan campaign.

In contrast, Demas could not provide details of Hall’s job and role in the campaign. Furthermore, Hall’s work inside the Michigan campaign is yet to be proven. It is still unclear if Hall, being the grassroots supporter for Trump, worked for him in an official or unofficial capacity.
