Drake Views will drop on Spotify and Tidal on May 13 as per previous reports but fans may be in for more than just the new album. Drake is reportedly working on a new material together with French Montana. Are listeners in for a new surprise?
Drake’s Views on Apple Music set records as it was viewed at least 250 million times from the time it was released. That exclusivity may have contributed to the album’s success on Apple but that needed to change as subscribers on other streaming platforms are also eagerly anticipating.
Morning News USA previously reported that the album will likely drop on Spotify and Tidal on May 13. Once the album hits the two platforms, experts expect Drake to set higher records for both album sales and streams. While critics remain mixed about the new album release, this is not stopping Drake from creating new music.
Despite having just released a highly-anticipated new album, Drake is already working on new material with French Montana. Along with his preparations for the upcoming SNL stint, Drizzy met up with Montana for a new summer hit.
French gave a preview of the clip through his Snapchat as reported by Capital Xtra. He also bragged about “all about the mula.” Drake’s verse seems to begin with something along the lines of “pump it up.”
Drizzy also threw in some his famous ‘Hotline Bling’ dance move. Along with the new material came reports about Drake’s plans on dissing rapper Joe Budden who was very vocal and critical about his new album.
The “pump it up” lyrics may be a reference to Budden’s 2003 hit but the latter downplayed the rumors.
Let’s not jump to conclusions Sir. https://t.co/j6pXeLmajE

There are no indications whether Drake’s material with Montana will end up alongside the release of Views on other platforms or anywhere else but video director SpiffTV described it to be “Smashhhhh.”
