Following the success of Drake with his “Views from the 6” album, the rapper teased his fans on a collaboration with Air Jordan 6.
In an Instagram post, the “One Dance” singer posted an image of OVO x Air Jordan 6 Lows with the caption, “Hot 100s.”
However, Drake immediately deleted the post, hinting that Jordan Brand may have designed the shoes for the rapper alone and will not be released for the public’s consumption, Footwear News said in their report.
The photo showed an image of a pair of Air Jordan 6 Lows in white, with red details on the Jumpman logo located in the sneaker’s tongue. Drake’s “Views” label can be seen in the lace lock as well as in the outsole, Highsnobiety said.
Last year, Drake collaborated with Jumpman for the Air Jordan 10 OVO edition sneakers. He also had an all-black Air Jordan 10 which has a premium leather and sleek black silhouette design last February.
His recent collaboration with the brand is for the OVO 6IX Year 8s but it was still not released to the public. Drake has been tying up with the brand since 2013.
Drake’s new song “One Dance” under his album “Views from the 6” has recently made it to number 1 in Billboard Hot 100. He also broke records when he entered 20 hits simultaneously in the Hot 100 list, replacing Justin Bieber who only 13 hits last year.
Before his “One Dance” hit on the top spot, Drake shared the number 1 spot as a guest singer in Rihanna’s “Work.” The song lasted in number one for several weeks.
The rapper’s “Views from the 6” album also received a platinum certification in a span of one week after it has been releaed in Apple Music. “Views from the 6” in Spotify and other streaming platforms are likely to boost the album’s sales.
