Drake was penalized for his overtime concert in Dallas but the rapper seemed to just have shrugged off the extra expenses.
The Toronto-born singer’s concert in American Airlines Center in Dallas reportedly started out late, which eventually led to finishing his performance way past 12am.
With this, the “One Dance” singer had to pay an additional $6,500 for every 15 minutes. The “Views from the 6” hit maker’s concert ended at 12:35, which means he was penalized with $13k.
But the 29-year-old singer seemed not to mind the extra shelling out of bucks. He even posted a stunning image of himself via his Instagram account while performing a track. He can be seen being surrounded by balloons in color white. which were mixed with purples rays of light.
Meanwhile, Drake’s latest album “Views from the 6,” continues to dominate the number 1 spot in Billboard 200 as he is unmoved for the past 11 weeks.
For its 11th week, Drake’s “Views” has pegged 89, 000 album units ending in July 21 according to Nielsen Music.
The albums was also recognized for having the most weeks in no. 1 for an album from a solo male artist. Before him, Billy Ray Cyrus has recorded a 17-week domination at the top spot in 1992 with his Some Gave All album.
After the success of his “Views” album, Drake is also hinting that he will soon release a mixtape, a report from Vibe said.
In his Kansas concert, Drake said, “I want you to protect yourselves and each other. When I go and work on this new mixtape and come back to Kansas City and I drop that shit, I wanna see everybody in this motherf—er boy!”
