Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton Banter ‘Frozen’ Style

Following the criticism Donald Trump received over one of his tweets that showed former secretary of state Hillary Clinton beside the Star of David and piles of money, he offered a defense citing the Disney film Frozen.

A picture of a Frozen sticker book featuring a star on the cover was posted by the business mogul, who accused his opponents of dishonesty regarding the original tweet with the Star of David. Trump said the star was a sheriff’s badge.

“Where is the outrage for this Disney book? Is this the ‘Star of David’ also? Dishonest media! #Frozen,” he tweeted.

According to Trump, the Disney star suggested the controversy surrounding his original tweet was overhyped, and that the star was “just a star.” The controversy had occurred after the presumptive Republican nominee tweeted an image of Clinton beside piles of money and the Star of David. “Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!” the tweet reads.

As reported by Yahoo News, Democrats and Republicans both criticized the tweet, which they said had references of anti-Semitism. The tweet was deleted within hours of the controversy and was substituted with a star that had a red circle.

During his speech in Ohio, Trump said that the ones criticizing his tweet were racists.

“And it actually looks like a sheriff’s star, but I don’t know,” he said. “And behind it they had money. ‘Oh, but there’s money behind!’ So actually, they’re racially profiling.”

As reported by, Trump said in defense of his tweet that he is not anti-Semitic, as his daughter Ivanka and his stepson and grandchildren are Jewish.

Clinton’s response to Trump’s Frozen tweet contained another reference to the Disney movie. “Do you want to build a strawman?” Clinton’s tweet reads.
