First it was Watch Dogs 2, now ActiVision has also become a victim of leaks, as Destiny: Rise of Iron DLC trailer landed on YouTube. The video starts off in a snapchat portrait format and then goes to full-screen mode.
UPDATE: Bungie has officially released the Rise of Iron trailer after it’s twitch announcement broadcast. Watch the official trailer below.
Unfortunately the YouTube channel that got its hands on the trailer was taken down on copyright claims by Activision Publishing, Inc. However, developers failed to stop the video from spreading online. The leak was the result of an error on the official Xbox website.
According to Forbes, Xbox Store accidentally published a detailed description of Destiny: Rise of Iron DLC and its features, including “new story campaign & quests, new armor and gear, new weapons, new raid, maximum light increase, new strike, new plaguelands zone & social space, new crucible mode & maps, new enemy faction and bosses”
Fans will be pleased, as the leaked trailer confirmed Gjallarhorn will be back. Kotaku also pointed out that the weapon has not been modified, but the skin color was changed to “Iron Black.” The developers also revealed gamers could get the well-loved Gjallarhorn weapon by completion a mission, while those who will pre-order will get a black and silver edition of popular gun.
Furthermore, Bungie, High Moon Studios also posted a note, indicating the release date is set on Sept. 20. The game will reportedly be released only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Destiny base game, as well as The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King are needed to play the latest expansion.
More details are expected to come out at E3 2016 next week.
