A man was found dead in an apparent drowning in actress Demi Moore’s backyard pool in Beverly Crest, California.
Los Angeles Police investigating the scene said the man was 21 years old and was not related to the actress, but to someone who has access to the pool. According to the police, they responded to a 911 call and reached Demi Moore’s residence around 5:20.
Sgt. A. Bone from Los Angeles Department said when the police reached the area, they found a man who was removed from the pool and was treated by paramedics. The coroner’s office said the man, identified as Edenilson Steven Valle, was declared dead minutes later.
Bone said as quoted by LA Times, Moore was not at her residence when the incident happened. There was none from Moore’s family present at the scene either.
“From what I understand it was a staff member who had drowned,” Bone said. Lt. Fred Corral from the county coroner’s office said investigators from the coroner’s office were at the scene on Sunday at 10:15.
Demi Moore, 52, is currently shooting “Wild Oats,” a comedy film set for release this summer. Moore played a widow’s daughter in the movie.
