Earlier this month it was revealed that Green Lantern Corps will appear in “Justice League”. Although the report didn’t confirm Hal Jordan or John Stewart in the movie, fans are rest assured as the Lanterns have joined the cinematic universe.
In DC Comics, Green Lantern is known to be one of the founding members of Justice League. Moreover, the superhero has also proven to be the few big guns capable of fighting forces from outer planet.
Green Lantern To Fight Beside Justice League In Upcoming Movie?
Since DCEU confirmed Darkseid and his forces as the main threat in “Justice League”, fans have been expecting Hal Jordan to join the league as well. Unfortunately, the teaser trailer and official poster didn’t unite the seven as fans expected.
Fortunately, it looks like Warner Bros. and DCEU have been discussing the possibility of rebooting Green Lantern. A new source has revealed that the studio has begun enlisting actors for the role of Hal Jordan in DCEU.
A tweet by Bravo! Film News has revealed that Warner Bros. is in talks with an actor to play as Green Lantern. The tweet also confirmed that the actor is none other than Jamie Dornan.
Dornan is most known for playing as Christian Grey in “Fifty Shades of Grey”. Recently, the actor wrapped up filming for “Fifty Shades Darker” and also began with “Fifty Shades Freed”.
If the report is true, it’s a likely possibility that Dornan could play as Hal Jordan version of Green Lantern. Since the failure with Ryan Reynolds, DCEU might reboot the fictional character rather than choose John Stewart version.
Green Lantern Spin Off Teased By Casting News?
Currently, the casting news posted by Bravo! Film News hasn’t been confirmed by other sources. By far, The Wrap report on the confirmation of Green Lantern Corps is the only authentic reveal.
It’s possible that the upcoming “Justice League” trailer #3 could tease or reveal the involvement of Green Lantern Corps in the movie.
