“Daredevil” season 2, unlike season 1, did not have the one all-consuming villain fans will remember hating for the rest of their lives. Charlie Cox, the actor who plays Matt Murdock, thinks Season 3 will have one in the form of Bullseye.
With several bad boys in the Marvel Comics Universe, Cox bets high on Bullseye for the show’s next season. In an interview with Cinema Blend, Cox said it is all but natural for Daredevil to fight Bulleye. “If we are fortunate enough to continue making the Daredevil series, I can’t imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn’t show up at some point. It would be great to have him around at some point,” he said.
What will be the story revolving around Bullseye and who will play this villain, the actor still cannot say. “Who would play that part I have no idea but I just think there’s such an interesting, rich character there, and also of course, the history that Bullseye has with Karen Page is an interesting dynamic,” he added.
“Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones,” two of Marvel Universe’s flagship in Netflix series, have very high viewer ratings. In fact, after “Daredevil” season one was over, it only took two weeks for the show to earn a go at season two. The same rapid-fire decision may also happen with “Daredevil” Season 3.
In a related news, Vanity Fair reported that when it comes to who the next villain will be, Elektra (Elodie Yung) will be a likely candidate. In the comic books, she was revived after being enclosed into a grave. Upon her return, she may be the antagonist now.
Atthe present, “Daredevil” season 3 is yet to be announced by Netflix. Which do you think will make a good villain – Bullseye or Elektra?
