A 28-year-old woman who disappeared early December continues to remain missing as of Jan. 2, 2017. Identified as Danielle Stislicki, the Michigan woman’s whereabouts are still unknown. Police suspect foul play.
Stislicki’s case was initially registered as a missing-person case.
According to the Farmington Hills Police Department, they were able to locate her black 2015 Jeep Renegade on Lincoln Court in the Independence Green Apartment Complex.
“All available information and evidence leads investigators to believe Danielle Stislicki was the victim of a crime,” according to a police statement.
How Danielle Stislicki Disappeared
Danielle was last seen on Dec. 2, leaving the Southfield MetLife building around 5 p.m. The 28-year-old worked in the MetLife office alongside her mother who was a consultant too.
According to reports, Stislicki had, on that day, planned to stop at her apartment before joining her best friend for dinner. She didn’t show up that evening, however, and was also unreachable on call.
The woman’s family members started to suspect something was wrong when she failed to be present to start her 8 A.M. shift at MetLife. Consequently, they reported Danielle missing.
Stislicki’s parents, from day one, have stuck to their belief that their daughter has been abducted.
“We believe she has been taken and is being held against her will,” Stislicki’s mother, Ann, according to a report by The Huffington Post.
Also, police have, so far, not named any suspect or person of interest in connection to the disappearance of Danielle Stislicki.
“Investigators have collected evidence currently under analysis and examination,” as was written in the statement. “No information will be released regarding the specifics of the case in order to maintain the integrity of an active investigation.”
Also, authorities have searched the house of a MetLife security guard in connection to Stislicki’s disappearance. The Berkley house was searched multiple times before taking a mattress as possible evidence, according to a WXYZ Detroit report.
