Julianne Hough is now engaged to Brooks Laich.
The two-time “Dancing With the Stars” champion and Washington Capitals forward have announced that they are planning to tie the knot.
According to CBC News, the dancer and actress became a permanent fourth judge on the show after winning the contest.
She acted in the 2011 remake of “Footloose,” and has also recorded two country music albums.
Laich, who has played 11 seasons, had seven goals and 20 points in 66 regular-season games, in addition to a goal and an assist in 14 Stanley Cup Playoff games, as reported by NHL.com. He has played all of his 683 games, except one, for the Washington Capitals.
In his career, he has had 132 goals, 317 points and 283 penalty minutes.
‘We’ve been open and honest from day one’
The couple were set up by a mutual friend.
“It works out well, they’re having fun,” a source told Us Weekly.
“We’ve been open and honest from day one,” Hough had said last year. She added the two have a “solid foundation.”
