The latest “Dancing With The Stars” season 23 update has suggested that protesters Sam Sotoodeh and Barzeen Soroudi might already be facing their biggest penalty yet. Are they going to jail?
It can be recalled that the two suspects rushed the stage when the dancing reality show’s 23rd season opened on Sept. 12 to embarrass American Ryan Lochte, who was then about to hear the comments of Carrie Ann Inaba after he performed his routine with professional dancing partner Cheryl Burke.
On Monday, the two men who allegedly ruined the premiere of “Dancing With The Stars” season 23 have already been charged for “misdemeanor,” the Associated Press reported (via Us Weekly).
It is still unknown if they would be put behind bars since they are not yet convicted. Following the incident, the Olympic swimmer issued a statement via Instagram.
“When I was asked to do the show, the one thing that I kept hearing was that it was like joining a big family,” he posted two days after it happened. “After Monday’s incident, I now know what that means.”
“I have gotten so much love from everyone on the show, including my partner Cheryl, my fellow competitors, the producers, the security team and its fans,” the “Dancing With The Stars” season 23 star added.
Based on interview, Sotoodeh claimed that their objective was to “get the message out that Lochte is a coward, a liar and under Brazilian law, a criminal.” Soroudi added that the 32-year-old American ace swimmer is an embarrassment to the Americans.
Last month, her made headlines after he and his companions were accused of vandalizing the bathroom of a gas station. Although he already apologized for it, the USOC and USA Swimming still gave him a 10-month suspension.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Tonight revealed that 66-year-old politician Rick Perry and his partner Emma Slater were the latest pair to leave the ABC program. Their consistent standing, being always the lowest scorer since the start of “Dancing With The Stars” season 23, has caused their exit.
