Marilu Henner paired up with dream partner Derek Hough for the Dancing With The Stars Season 23 and together they delivered a performance.
According to Lena Goodman, Henner was full of energy and got straight into the routine and presented a fabulous performance. Meanwhile, her partner’s sister Julianne Hough said the veteran actress needs to work on her stiffness.
Among the other judges, Bruno Tonioli complimented her saying she was a true trooper but advised not to tighten up too much. While, Carrie Ann Inaba said that Henner needs to watch out for her spots although she was in full control of herself.
Business 2 Community reported that she bagged a score of 27.
The social media too went abuzz with her praises as fans of Dancing With The Stars took to the Twitter to congratulate her on her performance.
“Solid first performance from Marilu and Derek #dwts,” wrote a fan on Twitter.
While another tweeted, “Marilu. What a fantastic job. Lovely kicks and flicks. Stunning woman. 7 #DWTS.”
The new partners met each other face to face at Henner’s residence for the first time. Henner, 64, was so surprised and thrilled to find out that Hough, 31, would be her partner for the new season of DWTS that it took her some time to collect herself.
“You have no idea,” she was quoted as saying by the People magazine. “I can’t believe I got you! I can’t believe I got you!”

Happy #nationalbookloversday !! I loved writing my book "TAKING THE LEAD, Lessons from a life in motion." Still can't believe it made the #newyorktimesbestseller list twice. There are times that I feel like I don't live congruent with certain lessons I have learned from the past. And I tend to beat myself up about that sometimes. But something my dad told me that stuck with me is that, lessons are meant to be learned and re-learned . It's a constant practice. Sometimes we fail sometimes we succeed, in all aspects of life. I guess what I'm trying to say is that nobody's perfect, in fact , perfection is the lowest standard you can have. Because if you continue to strive for something that doesn't exist you will constantly be disappointed. Perfection doesn't exist but passion does. So if you're striving to be better in some way, each day and learn to let go and forgive yourself for your short comings, then in my opinion that's perfection.
