Ever since Microsoft revealed the possibility of a Cortana and Xbox One integration in its E3 event this year, people have been speculating whether the integration will require headsets.
Now, The Verge reported that the Company has now figured out how Cortana can be used in Xbox One.
In an interview with Polygon, Microsofts’s chief marketing officer claimed that users will be “able to use Cortana with a headset and microphone or by typing out a search.”
If you want to experience Cortana, you will be able to do so by next year. Xbox One preview members will be having it ahead as the Company will release it later this year.
“When we roll that out it will be a great experience for Kinect owners,” Nichols said.
Also, the Company might be optimizing their product for Kinect voice use.
“Now we’re not designing for everyone who has it or everyone doesn’t have it. We’re designing for a good chunk who have it and use it and some new customers who now have decided to get an Xbox One who don’t have a Kinect, at least not yet.”
