‘The Conjuring 2′ Film Review: Many Just Couldn’t Handle It

Ahead of its official release in U.S. theaters this June 10, a spine-tingling preview of James Wan’s “The Conjuring 2” was released to the public, but can you handle watching it?

The director of horror films “Saw” and “Insidious,” Wan is once again making the headlines for the sequel of his original The Conjuring. Considered by many as one of the scariest horror films inspired by real-life events, The Conjuring is returning to cinemas this month after the first one grossed more than $319 million in 2013.

The website Techno Buffalo released at least 40 stills of the scariest movie this year, days before its U.S. screening this weekend. The stills, which provides a chilling glimpse of the horror film, were taken from different scenes, enough to tease everyone who wants to watch it.

Wan’s “The Conjuring 2” centers on the quest of demonologist couple Ed and Lorraine Warren, as they help families faced with problems of demon possessions and haunting cases. As per the prequel, which centered on the haunting case of the Perron family, the second part, set in 1977 Enfield, London, tackles a poltergeist haunting the family of Peggy Hodgson.

In the movie, Hodgson, a single mother living with four children in London, has four children in a quiet neighborhood in London. Janet, one of Peggy’s children, is the main target of the poltergeist. She experiences out-of-this world experiences, including levitation.

Janet, in a previous report by Morning News USA, shared to Movie Pilot that the levitation was the scariest thing she had experienced during that time, because she couldn’t tell where she would land. She is now an adult and currently lives in Essex.

“The Conjuring 2” is set to scare viewers this coming June 10.
