The euphoria of Cleveland Cavaliers reaching the NBA finals only for the second time in the franchise’s history continues. Their ace star LeBron James will be playing his fifth straight NBA finals. James returned to Cleveland after four triumphant seasons in Miami, guiding his side to the finals with a stellar show.
James’ contribution in Cavs’ success convinced a legendary player of the side to comment that they would build LeBron statues across the city if the Cavs manage to win the finals starting from June 4.
Austin Carr revealed to Yahoo Sports, “They would build a bronze statue in front of every building in the city. For him to bring it back here, especially the first year back, he would rise above anybody that has ever played in any sport in this town.” Carr is a legendary figure in the Cavaliers camp.
A LeBron James statue awaits outside the Quicken Loans Arena. The Cavs are four wins away from clinching the NBA title, which would take James ahead of legendary sports icons of the town like Bob Feller or Lou Boudreau.
Cleveland Indians last won a world series in 1948.
