Should Future get mad that her son with Ciara is calling Russell Wilson his dad?
It appeared that this has been the debate following a published report showing the two-year-old boy calling the quarterback “Papa” in a video.
Is this really a big thing that should hurt his real father’s ego?
In the video posted by the 27-year-old American football player and 30-year-old singer and model on Facebook Live, the former was seen preparing for a television appearance when baby Future was brought in, TMZ reported.
After Future’s son came to Ciara to give her a “mama kiss,” he then went on to give Russell Wilson a “papa kiss.”
At the background, the assistant who was presumably holding him was reportedly saying “Papa Russ” as if to interpret what baby Future would like to enunciate.
Amid the scenario, the entertainment site noted that with it being posted on social media, it must have added “insult to the injury” to the singer’s baby daddy.
In the meantime, several fans took to Twitter to air out their different views on the matter.
“As a co-parenting parent, lemme say this: Women who dont have kids yet overly applaud baby Future calling Russell papa, Shut up,” one fan wrote while commenting to the video which TMZ posted.
However, it can be observed that majority of the comments pointed out that there is nothing wrong with baby Future calling Ciara’s husband Russell Wilson as his father.
“I been callin [sic] my stepfather ‘Dad’ since I was 10. I literally do not see the issue with Baby Future calling his stepfather ‘Dad,’” a fan stated, while another questioned those who appeared not liking the idea of the young Future to have a relationship with his stepfather.
Meanwhile, several followers of the page commented that the video only showed that Russell Wilson has really been a great dad to Ciara’s baby Future so far to establish such a bond with him.
