Josh Duggar had molested his younger sisters multiple times and had come clean of the crime to his parents on three occasions, a new police report from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office stated. The report revealed that Josh was just 15 when he molested one of his sisters who was just 5 at that time.
The police report was obtained by In Touch magazine under the guidelines of the Freedom of Information Act.
Jim and Michelle Duggar confessed in an interview with Fox News’ “The Kelly File” that they knew about the “inappropriate touching.”
Jessa Duggar, on the other hand, voluntarily identified herself as one of Josh’s victims but she spoke out in his defense.
Josh went from sister to sister
In March 2002, James came to their father crying because Josh had told him that “he had been sneaking into sisters room at night and had been touching them on the breasts and vagina while they were sleeping.”
Josh has committed seven acts of sexual molestation, according to the police report obtained by In Touch. The report revealed all the chilling details of the act, including information that Josh touched her sisters from one to another. This was possible because the girls were sleeping in one room at the time.
The report also revealed that it took 16 months before Jim and Michelle contacted the authorities. The parents also did not seek counseling for Josh or his victims.
Duggar interview with Kelly
Josh “was just curious about girls,” Jim told Kelly during an exclusive interview. The two said they were both devastated when they learned of Josh’s behavior.
Jim and Michelle said that they decided to get help after two more incidents. Jim said they sent Josh for counseling in Little Rock. The whole process had become the turning point of Josh’s life, Jim said.
After the counseling, he took Josh to a local Arkansas State police to report his own crime.
“As parents we were trying to do the best thing we knew how,” Michelle said.
“We felt it was an important step for Josh to confess to the police,” Jim said.
Jim and Michelle said that they agreed to be featured in the reality TV show because they have nothing to hide. The couple also said they feel just fine if management decided not to film the family again.
“We are fine whether they film us or not,” Jim said
“Either way, we’re at peace,” Michelle added.
Jessa Duggar identified herself as Josh’s victim
Jessa Duggar said she is one of Josh’s five victims. She however spoken out in defense of her brother.
“I do want to speak up in his defense against people who are calling him a child molester or a pedophile or a rapist, some people are saying,” Jessa told Kelly.
“I’m like, ‘That is so overboard and a lie really.’ I mean people get mad at me for saying that but I can say this because I was one of the victims.”
