Comedian, actor and writer Michael Ian Black has penned an illustrated children’s book about presidential hopeful Donald Trump. The children’s book is slated to be released on July 12 through Simon and Schuster publishing company.
According to Page Six, the children’s book entitled “A Child’s First Book of Trump” will feature drawings of American screenwriter and film director Marc Rosenthal (Mighty Joe Young and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice). Rosenthal’s cover illustration of the “Americus Trumpus” will have the features of the Lorax.
The book elaborates the way the businessman and television personality became the candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the U.S. in the 2016 electiona.
The book’s Amazon page states that “A Child’s First Book of Trump” is a “perfectly timely parody picture book intended for adults that would be hysterical if it wasn’t so true.”
“Kids (and let’s be honest many adults) might have difficulty discerning just what this thing that’s been dominating news coverage this election cycle is.”
Page Six claimed that the 44-year-old Michael Ian, cast of the romantic comedy film “Wet Hot American Summer,” hopes to “help children of all ages learn to identify a Trump and what to do if they should ever come across one in the wild.”
As stated by the Rolling Stone, “A Child’s First Book of Trump” will definitely have a Dr. Seuss-ian feel. Of course, presidential hopeful Trump has not declared his public approval for the children’s book.
