The Chicago Bulls seem ready for the coming season though one department they could improve on is the point guard position. They did try to make a move for Kris Dunn, offering Jimmy Butler in exchange.
As most are aware of by now, nothing came out of that NBA Draft night move, but it could happen once again in the future. This means that there is a chance that the Bulls could dangle Butler again, but for who?
Deal with Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson possible?
The Los Angeles Lakers are filled with young players and their backcourt is something to behold. There is sophomore D’Angelo Russell and now-veteran Jordan Clarkson.

Russell could be a curious choice, though everyone knows that he is someone the Lakers are likely to keep. But how about Jordan Clarkson?
Clarkson is one of the reliable players the Lakers have right now so it seems hard to depict. But if the exchange would involve someone like Butler, the landscape changes.
With due consideration to salary, a heads-up exchange is unlikely. If the Lakers would consider it, it may need to include other players or future picks.
Jimmy Butler’s flexibility
At first, most would wonder how Butler could fit in with the Lakers. That will most likely stem from the fact that Butler is best known as a forward. If so, how can he fit in a cramped frontline that includes Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr., Luol Deng and Brandon Ingram?
Butler could fit in as an offguard instead, the same position of Clarkson. It could be an exciting choice though giving up Clarkson comes with a lot of questions.
One is that Clarkson has been a pillar so far and taking in Butler could be a risky move. He is a tested player but somehow he is an odd addition to Luke Walton’s charges.
