Charlie Sheen is now under criminal investigation. The LAPD’s Threat Management Unit has taken the lead in this case, even though the specific crime is not yet confirmed.
While no details have been provided relative to the nature of the investigation, LAPD Officer Mike Lopez told BuzzFeed News on Wednesday that investigators are relying on a report filed on March 31 in Van Nuys, which identified the 50-year-old actor as the suspect.
He also revealed that a search warrant was already obtained relative to the investigation. However, the police officer emphasized he could no longer give out some more information about it. “It is confidential based on the crime that occurred and this is the only information I can provide at this time,” Lopez explained.
Meanwhile, another officer the news outlet talked to on the said day refused to confirm if the report against Charlie Sheen was indeed made by his ex-fiancé, Scottine Ross, also known as Brett Rossi. The officer did not deny it either.
“I’m not allowed to give out that information,” the officer stated.
It can be noted that several news outlets claimed that Ross was photographed on her way out of the Van Nuys police station. This makes the speculation about her more intense.
According to ET Online, the “Forrest Gump” star’s 26-year-old former wife-to-be’s lawyer narrated that his client really went to the police station to complain about the threats allegedly hurled at her by Charlie Sheen.
“She takes this very seriously,” her lawyer John C. Taylor relayed. “She intends to do everything she can to protect herself.”
Based on the information gathered by the entertainment site, the LAPD received a radio call at 3:00 p.m. of March 31 about a criminal investigation citing Charlie Sheen as the suspect. It can be recalled that back in December, Ross shared with ET Online that she is “tired of being scared,” which prodded her to file a lawsuit against the ”Two and a Half Man” actor.
“I’m scared of Charlie,” she reportedly said. “I’m scared of the backlash.” Nevertheless, Marty Singer, lawyer of Charlie Sheen, denied all allegations.
