Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed their first baby daughter into the world on April 14, Thursday. They named her Luna Simone Stephens. Teigen is sure Legend will be the perfect father.
Multi- awarded singer/songwriter John Legend tweeted the news on April 17, “Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn’t be happier!” While his model and TV host wife Chrissy Teigen took to Instagram with a photo that showed the weight of their new love, which is 6 pounds and 11 inches, “she’s here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy.”
According to USA Today, the couple chose the social media to announce the birth of their newborn because they wanted to be the first to spread the news before any press would. Legend told USA Today that they like to control their media because it gives them the opportunity to say the news in a manner that they want.
The first- time mother told People in an exclusive interview that she particularly chose a female embryo on their IVF process. She said that she picked the little embryo herself, “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’ ”
The ‘Stephens’ part of their baby’s name comes from Legend’s birth name, John Roger Stephens, as reported at Yahoo News. Teigen also proudly said that Legend would be the best father to a little girl.
Would she be a soon-to-be singer or a soon-to-be model? It would be too soon to tell but she would surely be a stunner.
