At San Diego Comic-con, Marvel Studios confirmed Actress Brie Larson as Carol Danvers for Captain Marvel. While fans have been delighted about the studio’s choice, the movie still doesn’t have a director nor has it confirmed the rest of its cast. Rumors have it that “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow” director will be ultimately chosen.
Recently, Variety Film Reporter Justin Kroll tweeted to his followers an update on the director for Captain Marvel. The post suggests that Marvel Studios is “ways away on” finalizing its director. Furthermore, it also revealed that the movie’s “prod.(production) schedule, could be post labor day on decision.”
“Captain Marvel” movie has been scheduled for a release in 2019. So it looks like Marvel Studios has no plan on rushing its dates on casting or starting its production. Some fans believe the movie could choose its director by November or after the release of “Doctor Strange.”
By far, Kevin Feige has been confirmed to be the producer for “Captain Marvel” movie. Actress Brie Larson has also been posting regular updates on her twitter about the new role. Fans can expect any new details on the movie through her updates.
Few directors were also shortlisted for Captain Marvel movie. Last month, Rachel Talalay was alleged to be one of the directors under discussion to take up the movie. Talalay has been known for her works in superhero shows like “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow.”
Captain Marvel movie will be releasing on March 8th, 2019. However, there are possibilities for a change in dates once production begins.
In other news, Mark Ruffalo recently posted an image on Instagram. The actor officially confirmed it to be the last day of shooting for “Thor: Rangarok.”
“Doctor Strange” director Scott Derrickson recently posted a tweet in support of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie. shockingly, the director spoke in support of Ayer.
