On Thursday, fans looking forward to “Captain America: Civil War” got their first glimpse of Spider-Man at the film’s latest trailer. The revelation of the web slinger in Captain America comes with his new nickname – Underoos.
As stated by Yahoo, after Sony Pictures Entertainment produced five motion pictures and a contractually obligated absence from the smash-hit films owned by The Walt Disney Company, finally, MCU’s most beloved superhero is joining the biggest multiverse in cinema. The wall-crawler is played by 19-year-old English actor Tom Holland.
CNN says that the announcement of Holland as the new Peter Parker/Spider-Man happened in June. And the new Spider-Man film is slated to fire up in July 2017.
According to Yahoo, there has been a lot of speculation as to whose side Spider-Man will pick in the film, as the Avengers end up in rival factions led by Captain America and Iron Man. But the trailer reveals that Spider-Man is teaming up with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.
Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America sequel will let audiences witness how Tony Stark/Iron Man and his allies side with government officials led by William Hurt, who wants to register and regulate the Avengers. Captain America and his crew are resisting the push with all the strength they have.
Yahoo reports that American actor Chris Evans, who portrays Captain America, stated, “I think Cap’s struggling because every time he has fallen in line and has been a soldier, and has taken orders and leaned on the structure of society, it’s kind of turned on him.
“And I think ultimately, Captain America feels the safest hands are his own, for the reason that at least he can trust them.”
