Caitlyn Jenner has expressed how relieved she is now that the ESPYs are over. After a speech in front of millions of people while accepting the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, she wrote her experiences in a tell-all piece.
She had been worried over what to wear. Fortunately, Donatella Versace reached out to her. They even had to do two fittings to make sure her dress would look stunning.
In a blog post entitled “How I Conquered My Biggest Fear At the ESPYs,” she wrote, “Getting glamorous for the ESPYs was a big process to go through, but it was amazing and so much fun.”
Caitlyn didn’t watch the ESPYs live as she only sat down backstage before her award was presented. And she pulled off her speech really, really well.
The only issue for her?
“While I felt like I looked great and that the gown looked fabulous, I still have a voice issue,” she wrote.
“It’s not quite right compared to my feminine appearance. That bothers me a little bit. However, I hope that people don’t listen to the pitch of my voice, but listen to what I have to say. That’s important to me.”
