A BSF air plane crashed in Dwarka, neighbor of New Delhi today at around 09:50 AM IST. Officials say, “The plane was carrying members of the border patrol force.” The reason behind the air plane crash is said to be due a technical problem.
The plane was carrying 10 technicians who were flying to Ranchi to fix a helicopter and each one has been killed. The bodies are now sent for post-mortem at New Delhi’s Safdarjung hospital. In a statement given to reported, Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Civil Aviation said, “This is a very unfortunate incident happened today…we have issued orders for a probe into the matter and as soon as we will get any update on this, we will inform you.”
People who were present at the time of the accident at the location say that the plane hit a wall after which it caught fire and then crashed, reportedly into a water body. 3 of the bodies were found near the same water tank, while others were found in the tank. The incident will now be investigated. Due to the BSF air plane crash, a DG-level talk between Bangladesh and India which was scheduled in Dhaka has also been canceled, reported Firstpost.
