The news that Brad Pitt is now dead circulating on Facebook following his divorce from wife Angelina Jolie. Reports are saying that the actor decided to commit suicide and shot himself.
The 52-year-old actor reportedly shot himself in the head while in a shooting range last Sunday, which fuelled speculations that he may have gone depressed over his split with the “Maleficent” star.
“He was under significant stress because the couple ‘were going through a divorce and he had a history of depression,” a source was quoted by a website reportedly called Fox Breaking News.
However, a Snopes report clarified that this report is completely fake, adding that it aims to steal personal information from Facebook users who click on the fake news.
When one clicks the link, the permission requests will pop-up which allows the app the access the user’s profile.
Snopes said that same web site has already spread malicious news regarding other celebrities. Aside from Brad Pitt dead hoax news, other celebrities who were victims of the web site are Jaden Smith, John Cena, Sylverster Stallone, Jim Carrey, Nichola Cage, and Vin Diesel.
It has also reported last month that Angelina Jolie died of suicide.
The report said that fake news site may have been riding on the bombshell divorce of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who are splitting after ten years of being together.
According to TMZ, Angelina Jolie claims the “World War Z” actor is a bad father to their children, adding that he has anger issues. She claims he can be uncontrollable when he mixed his anger with alchol and weed.
Angelina Jolie filed for sole physical custody for all their children and did not ask for spousal support.
Brad Pitt and Angelina have six children namely–Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Knox, Vivienne and Shiloh.
