Peeler communicates with Philippine-based child sex trafficking syndicate

Peeler sought services from individuals in the Philippines who engaged in child sex trafficking, according to court documents released by the Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. He attempted purchasing live streaming sex shows involving Filipino children and paid via money transfer for the services between April 2013 and July 2014. He had attempted to purchase the pornographic videos four times, the documents held. The video he attempted to buy featured Filipino children ages four to 14 years old, the court documents revealed.

At the time of his arrest, Peeler admitted that he was the user of the email and instant messaging account found to be soliciting the streaming videos. He, however, denied purchasing any videos even if preliminary investigation found child pornographic materials on his computer.

According to the Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts the leaders of the child sex trafficking syndicate operating in the Philippines were already identified as a result of joint efforts by Filipino authorities, the Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI. The operators of the child sex trafficking organization will face prosecution in the Philippines.

Project Safe Childhood

Peelers case is being prosecuted as part of the government’s Project Safe Childhood that was established by the Department of Justice in 2006. The project is aimed at protecting children from exploitation and abuse.
