Following the discovery that Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) is not Taylor Shaw, will fans discover in “Blindspot” season 2 that he is actually the traitor? Find out from these spoilers, which include the release date!
In the last episode of the NBC crime drama series aired on May 23, Special Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) found out after digging up his childhood background that the mysterious lady is not really the one whom he thought she was all the time.
As how TV Line had put it, the discovery was shocking to Weller not just because of the fact Jane is not Taylor, but also because of the realization that his long-lost friend actually died at the hands of his own father.
Considering this scenario, does it mean that Jane is really the traitor whose real identity will slowly be uncovered in “Blindspot” season 2?
Showrunner Martin Gero shared some meaty details about the upcoming season, as he made an admission.
“It was, in a way,” he said when asked if the discovery was intentional. “That’s not going to be a mystery next season.”
He further narrated that in the first episode of “Blindspot” season 2, “You’re going to find out exactly who she is.”
Meanwhile, he revealed in his own set of spoilers that the next season will tackle more the life of Weller.
Gero explained that what happened in the 23rd episode of the previous season “had more to do with Weller’s journey this season and his belief that this was all about Taylor Shaw and the relationship that he had with his father.”
When it comes to the things that may possibly occur as Jane continues her journey, the showrunner told Entertainment Weekly that with the “terrible last episode,” the female lead star is going to be “in a real state of flux going into next season.”
However, aside from these exciting “Blindspot” season 2 spoilers, there has been no official statement yet about its release date. It can be recalled that the 1st season premiered on Sept. 21, 2015.
