Blake Shelton has just released his brand-new single “Came Here to Forget.” While fans are still humming to the song and raping their replay buttons, the country singer has already announced the title and release date of his new album.
Here’s everything we know about the new album:
The album’s title is ‘If I’m Honest’ album. It is set for release by Warner Music Nashville on May 20. “This is the most excited I’ve been about a new album since the release of my second record,” Shelton said in a press release firs reported by The Boot.
The track listing, album cover and other details however are yet to be revealed. In early February, the 39 year old singer made it known to the public that his new disc will feature a collaboration with the American country and gospel vocal quartet, Oak Ridge Boys. And both Shelton, and the Oak Ridge Boys shared photos of themselves together in the studio, with the singer and television personality calling the recording session as literally magic.
As described by ET Online, Shelton’s ‘If I’m Honest’ album will have a good ground to be a “candid affair.” Shelton worked on the project in the midst of all controversy surrounding him and his ex-wife Miranda Lambert. The album’s lead single on the other hand offers a glimpse at how Shelton, and No Doubt lead singer girlfriend Gwen Stefani got together while they deal with their respective separations last year.
“I’ve had a lot of music over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song before, that’s such a direct look into my life,” he said meaningfully.
